As those words kept being sung in my ear, all the lights in the room turned on and became brighter than they ever were before a loud sound pierced out from the electrical box and the darkness was back. "Hehehe Austin come out and play with Oni." I heard a voice whisper in my ear, as my body began to tremble in the closet from all the fear I was experiencing. It was the Charlie doll holding the large kitchen knife and staring right at me. What I saw horrified me and almost made me scream. I squinted my eyes tightly in effort to try and see into the darkness. The footsteps stopped in front of my dresser that contained all my personal files and photos. Oh fuck Rocco please shh The barking stopped, however I swore I heard footsteps thudding towards me, the closer they got, the louder the sound. Suddenly, a loud crash like glass breaking echoed from the bathroom throughout the apartment causing Rocco to begin barking. My heart was racing and I got chills up and down my spine waiting for something to happen. I ran down the hallway light footed and quickly hid in the walk in closet of the guest bedroom. Once this sentence was spoken, it was time to hide quietly. "Charlie is oni" (Oni stands for it in hide in seek in japan but also means devil. Without any further hesitation, I began the second ritual signifying the second and final round. When I got in the bathroom, the air was very hot as if the room were in flames. Once I grabbed the kitchen knife, I ran back into the bathroom to find Charlie.
